We often confused the two but there's a difference between them. Being sentimental holds you back from the things you want while love encourages you to move forward and be better.

There's nothing wrong with being sentimental don't get me wrong, but just like anything else if it is in excess, you are depriving yourself already. You can love something even from afar.
